Hybrid Elegance on the Post Road

This bright and elegant kitchen features Wood-Mode cabinetry with a crisp Nordic White perimeter and rich Java on Cherry islands anchoring the center to the room. We “framed” these frameless cabinets with pilasters to give them a hybrid inset and slightly more traditional look.

Hamburg Cove White Kitchen

This kitchen renovation in Lyme, CT married together white and silver in a big way. The warm oak floor allowed us to showcase the white painted cabinetry along with a white beaded ceiling and beams. The 48″ Professional Sub-Zero refrigerator and stainless accents on pendants, appliances, stools and fixtures mixed well with the white and gray stone tops. Classic, bright and functional.

White Meets Chestnut

This project on the Connecticut River features crisp and traditional white maple cabinetry; contrasted and warmed by antique chestnut island cabinetry and floors. The island was custom all the way with cabinetry constructed of reclaimed chestnut and finished with oil to maintain the soft organic feel. The countertops are in white marble and the white subway tile keeps the space bright and allows the chestnut to be the star of the show.

Old Black Point

This bright transitional kitchen features cabinetry from Wood-Mode Custom Cabinetry. The framed beaded inset cabinets with the Madison Recessed door style are finished in Nordic White paint along the perimeter of the room and a custom stain on the island and bar base cabinets. Multiple work spaces allow for multiple cooks in this open kitchen. What you can’t see: the flush tambour door cabinets on the cook-top/hood wall are built into the adjacent pantry. This allows maximized storage in the kitchen and left a space for a second refrigerator inside the pantry.

Contemporary on the CT River

We worked in many rooms in this uber custom contemporary home in Essex, CT. The kitchen was featured in ” Connecticut Cottages & Gardens”. It is truly a “one-off” custom. The wood specie here is Sen – an Asian wood used in Japan for premium furniture and cabinetry. Our cabinet maker purchased the Sen log on the global market; which was sent to Pennsylvania to be quarter cut and turned into veneer for the project. The twelve foot ceiling is enhanced by the vertical grain match of the cabinetry. The wood has subtle depth features inside the grain that seems to change as you change position within the space.

Essex Restoration

This home, which was originally built as a carriage house in 1890, received a major facelift bringing it to the 21st century. The kitchen features beaded inset Homestead Custom Cabinetry. The Chester door style is finished in a custom white paint around the perimeter and a custom grey paint on the island. The numerous appliances and workspaces allow multiple chefs to work together in this kitchen at ease.
